The world's largest 3D printer makes a 25-foot boat
The world's largest 3D printer has printed a 25-foot-5,000-pound boat, the largest thing ever.
This monumental work was accomplished by the Center for Advanced Structures and Structures at the University of Maine of the United States and achieved at least three Guinness records for the world's largest 3D polymer printer, as well as the largest 3D printed object, and the largest boat ever produced by a 3D printer.
The 3D printer is capable of printing objects up to 100 feet, 22 feet, and 10 feet high. It can print up to 500 pounds of solid objects per hour.
The boat, weighing 5,000 lbs and named "3Dirigo" is the largest printed object ever.
