How do the new WARP VPN in the Cloudflare DNS app for Android and IOS work?

These days, you should always be very careful when using the Internet, whether on your computer or mobile phone so that companies and others can't access your data or your default steps. One way to protect yourself is to use a VPN, through which a type of connection is created that protects the data that passes through it and is not exposed to other people in your network.

Cloudflare, a company renowned for its server solutions, recently launched some applications to provide more security for home users, such as its DNS server, which we talked about earlier in the Professional Blog. Cloudflare now also provides a VPN feature for smartphones. Here's how to use Cloudflare VPN to stay protected on your phone.

Just like using your DNS automatically, Cloudfare VPN is also set up through its official app, available for Android and iOS. The process below was performed on an Android device, but the process is the same for the iPhone. Here's how to set up Cloudflare VPN:

Visit Google Play or the App Store and download the app "1.1.1.1: Faster & Safer Internet." If you have the app on your phone, update it

When you first open the program, click "Get started" and "next":

Read the privacy terms and if you agree, click "Accepte":

On the next screen, activate the key below "1.1.1.1" and click "Install VPN Profile":

In the message that pops up, click "ok" and return to the main screen of the program, click "Enable".

From this moment on, you have a secure connection already enabled, which is called "warp." At any time, you can only use Cloudflare DNS again without activating the VPN by following the steps as the picture below indicates.

You now know how to use Cloudflare VPN on your phone. Remember that using Warp is free, but the company offers monthly subscriptions with some benefits with it.
